Terms of Service

Travel Insurance policies meet the demands and needs of those wishing to arrange insurance against certain risks faced when travelling abroad. However, you will need to decide if the policy cover selected meets your particular requirements. This insurance is only available to customers who reside in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands (excluding Guernsey) or the Isle of Man; have lived there for at least 6 of the last 12 months; and are registered with a local General Practitioner.

Trips must start and end in either the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands (excluding Guernsey) or the Isle of Man and cover must be purchased and be effective prior to start of the trip. It is a condition of this policy that when booking your trip or purchasing this policy, whichever is later, that you and anyone insured under the policy are fit to travel and participate in any activities and excursions that you have planned during your trip.

Please note:

There is no cover under this policy where:

  • You or anyone to be insured under this policy are travelling or planning to travel against medical advice or to obtain medical treatment.
  • At any time during the last five years anyone to be insured under this policy have been treated for alcohol or drug addiction.
  • You or anyone to be insured under the policy have made, or tried to make, 3 or more travel insurance claims in the last 5 years.
  • Any relative or colleague of you or your anyone to be insured under the policy, or someone with whom you are going to stay, are suffering from a medical condition which could reasonably be expected to give rise to a claim.
  • You or anyone to be insured under the policy are aware of any circumstances which are likely to lead to a claim being made.
  • It is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information to insurers when you take out an insurance policy, throughout the life of the policy, and when you renew the insurance if applicable. It is important that you ensure that all statements you make on proposal forms, statements of fact, claim forms and other documents are full and accurate. You should note that if you fail to disclose any information or any change in circumstances to your insurer such as a change in health, this failure could invalidate the insurance cover.
  • If you are arranging this insurance on behalf of other people you are responsible for ensuring that all statements of fact and any other information given is accurate and correct for all persons to be insured.
